It’s about us stepping forward to protect the native wildlife around our homes, gardens, local walks and beaches of Halfmoon Bay, Stewart Island / Rakiura.

The Stewart Island / Rakiura Community & Environment Trust (SIRCET) is a non-profit, charitable trust founded in 2002 to promote projects that benefit the Stewart Island / Rakiura community and its environment. Our focus is predominantly ecological restoration through control of pests and weeds, and planting. With the support of landowners, & many volunteer hours, we work in the Oban township & environs.
