Great Kiwi Bake Sale raises $700 for Stewart Island Kiwi/Tokoeka
October is Save Kiwi Month and Kiwis for Kiwi, a national charity devoted to saving kiwi, encourages conservation groups to hold a fundraising event such as a morning tea. SIRCET held a Great Kiwi Bake Sale at the noticeboard on Saturday the 21st of October. A big thank you to all those who donated baking or other items (Ann Pullen’s baby cacti were particularly popular), and to those who came and donated. We raised a whopping $700! At the same time The Stewart Island Lions Club held a sausage sizzle whose proceeds have benn donated to SIRCET to allow us to purchase Health and Safety equipment. Thank you Stewart Island Lions!
