Rat Stats

Our Pest Manager Willy has tallied the total rat number for the financial year (1st July 2017 - 30th June 2018).

A total of 1875 rat catches were recorded in this period with 18,069 recorded rat trap checked. This is an amazing effort from all or volunteers.

Our top resident volunteer line is ‘GLFA’ at 192 rats, shared by Anita and Sharon. This is an excellent result as this line has only been in place since January. This line also wins the top number of trap checks for a community line with a total of 1296 trap checks. Well done Anita and Sharon.

Our Top resident volunteer trapper for the season is Jen Ross with 158 rats, followed by Jeff Bergman at 148 rats and Anita Herbert at 132 rats

Visiting volunteers contributed 317 rats and Nathalie, our longest visiting volunteer who was here for 3 months, caught an additional 168 rats.

The biggest week was 28th May - 3rd of June with 121 rats. Second biggest was 26th Feb - 4th of March with 115 rats.

Thanks again to all the volunteers for all the hard work over the season.

Pest Manager Willy
